Certification Updates

Back to news

This year’s annual audits for our Link Up and UVDB registrations have been completed and once again, FSD have passed with flying colours. In addition, our UVDB scores topped last year’s. With our lowest score being 89.9, we rated head and shoulders above the supplier average in every category.

Our Achilles certification has also meant we are now accredited with CHAS, the Contractors’ Health and Safety Assessment Scheme. CHAS accreditation certifies compliance with current legislation and sound management of Health and Safety. Companies who have passed the UVDB audits can qualify for the scheme without the necessity of further questionnaires or audits.

CHAS is also being used by many bodies in their pre-qualification process. By requesting CHAS certification as proof of H&S compliance, this negates the requirement for suppliers to complete multiple H&S questionnaires for different parties.

For further information on the CHAS scheme, please see www.chas.gov.uk.

Our CHAS accreditation is serving this purpose in our current application for membership to Constructionline. This is the UK’s register of pre-qualified local and national construction and construction-related contractors and consultants and is owned and endorsed by the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform. This certification will be a welcome addition to FSD’s comprehensive list of industry approvals.
