Following the recent formation of our new Mechanical division, FSD Mech, there have been exciting developments at the division’s headquarters at Halesowen.
The existing workshop (see below), from which our team of welders and fitters are based, has been cleared and reorganised. The offices have undergone substantial renovation and remodelling.
The office staff, fronted by Nigel Smith and Kevin Ward (former B-Meck Directors) have secured the core employees from the former business, thus ensuring the continuation of their previously highly respected reputation in the mechanical sector.
The business has engaged the services of a Project Assistant and an experienced Project Manager who will bolster the Field Operations of FSD Mech; this investment is undertaken so that we can provide the best service to our present and new clients.
FSD Mech has recently secured a £250k+ contract from Black & Veatch to fabricate and supply fusion bonded epoxy coated pipe work for Coppermills WTW.
The mechanical installation at Coppermills is in tendering and the FSD Mech team are striving towards securing this portion of installation works.
In addition, FSD Mech has recently been awarded two further M&E contracts in conjunction with FSDL by Black & Veatch. These projects are for Thames Water Utilities, Wickham and Yattingdon; both mechanical and electrical contracts were won under competitive situations and were awarded in recognition of the financial benefits to the client and end user of utilising the services of a turnkey contractor.
Meanwhile FSD Mech is continuing to pursue further opportunities in the Water industry and other construction sectors. Their proposals department is busy with a stream of enquiries from old and new clients. The FSD group sales team are presently out on the road being very vocal about FSD’s capabilities as an M&E contractor.
