Our annual off-site Conference for Site Supervisors took place at the end of last month. This two-day event is an invaluable information-sharing experience which brings together Site Supervisors from across the country, along with office-based staff and invited guests from key clients and suppliers.
Key issues such as Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental issues were discussed; addition this was an opportunity to build closer relationships between office and site-based staff, to generate goals to improve work practices, and to exchange ideas about how FSD could deliver a better service to clients.
One approach employed to stimulate discussion and ideas were some team activities, which include building the tallest structure out of spaghetti and marshmallows. This was very challenging for all involved and we are thankful that the finished product we produce lasts a little longer than the structures completed on this occasion!
The Conference served as an excellent forum for FSD’s continuous improvement objectives and was a great success. As always, it demonstrated the quality and the commitment of the staff we employ.
