The relocation of the FSD Head Office in Dorking was completed without a hitch at the end of last month, and everyone is very settled in their new surroundings. We have vacated our rented office in the Glebeland Centre and moved just a few hundred metres around the corner to Station Road.

The new building, Spring Court, is a three-storey detached office, with Field Systems Designs occupying the lower ground floor, and the top two floors being rented out to other businesses as serviced offices. The open-plan office area is bright and spacious with smart new furniture and screens. The office was designed with ecological concerns in mind; all the lighting works with proximity detectors, so lights switch off automatically when not required. The new office also benefits from faster broadband connection which will aid staff who access our IT network remotely.

The site came with a detached double garage which we now have planning permission to convert into a two-bedroom apartment for use by visiting staff from other sites.
